STRENGTHENING YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM

The rise in body temperature stimulates a natural increase in body temperature and stimulates our immune system. Our immune system is closely linked to our health status, our ability to heal or recover from illness, and the speed of recovery. A strong immune system shortens the recovery period.

Treatments that make use of heat applications are known as therapeutic hyperthermia. The definition of hyperthermia is "abnormally high temperature intentionally induced in living things regionally or whole body. It is most often induced by heat or infrared radiation.

Many researchers have discovered that the immune system can be strengthened by stimulation many different forms of hyperthermia. Today, scientific research has validated the practice of hyperthermia. The thermal effect of therapeutic hyperthermia application has been directly associated with the augmentation of the immune response.

Observations have shown that T-cell activation and proliferation, Natural Killer cell activation, B-cell function and neutrophil migration, motility and chemotaxis were all discovered to be enhanced. The different types of white blood cells in the body, including T-cells, Natural Killer cells and B-cells, are responsible for protecting the body by neutralizing and destroying disease-producing substances such as viruses, toxins, bacteria and mutated cells.

Baking Soda or Epsom Salt: (alkaline) Add 1 cup of Baking Soda or Epsom Salt to bath water. Soak in hot bath for at least 20 minutes while keeping entire body moist and hot. Add hot water as necessary to maintain a mild sweat. Shower as usual to wash off toxins drawn out of the skin.

Ginger: Take three tablespoons of ground ginger powder or grated ginger root and add to bath water. Soak in hot bath for at least 30 minutes keeping entire body moist and hot. You want to leave the ginger on the skin. Go directly to bed and cover up with lots of blankets to maintain body heat. The next morning you may bathe as usual to wash off toxins drawn out of the skin.

Vinegar: Add one cup of apple cider vinegar to bath water. Soak in hot bath for at least 20 minutes while keeping entire body moist and hot. Add hot water as necessary to maintain a mild sweat. Shower as usual to wash off toxins drawn out of the skin.

Each type of bath helps the body to detoxify and can produce varying results when alternated daily. It is important to drink cool water or herbal teas in order to prevent overheating during the bath and dehydration after the bath.
